Project Overview
Tacony approached us to modernize their e-commerce platform for their Simplicity and Riccar vacuum brands. Despite offering closely similar products, these brands cater to distinct consumer groups. Simplicity targets a lively and vibrant audience, whereas Riccar caters to the upscale, premium segment. This venture encompassed creating two distinct websites on a shared platform and wireframes, preserving each brand's individuality.
My Contributions
My central focus was UI and web design, complementing the meticulously crafted wireframes and brand guidelines. I took charge of enhancing the design and website components at a deeper level, meticulously aligning them with the newly established design revamp. This transformation was pivotal for modernizing these brands and elevating their online presence.
Designing the components
My role in expanding the components and page structures started after the completion of initial wireframes, branding guidelines, and foundational web pages by my creative team. Leveraging these as my foundational framework, I ensured consistency across the more intricate content that fell within my purview. This approach prioritized robust usability and accessibility, underscoring my commitment to maintaining strong design practices throughout the project.
Final page layouts
Upon completing the design and styling of all components, we proceeded to finalize the layouts for each page. Our meticulous review ensured consistency across the board, eliminating the need for component adjustments in specific one-off cases. Our objective was to achieve a seamless and uniform experience, minimizing the necessity for individual adjustments in various use cases.
