Project Overview
Pivot Bio, an agricultural tech company, approached us in their early startup phase, devoid of branding and visual identity. We undertook the challenge of defining their tone, voice, and visual image to establish their identity in the industry.
My Contributions
I played a significant role in shaping Pivot Bio's brand identity. This encompassed iterative logo design, the creation of comprehensive brand guidelines, and the development of their entire brand language. Furthermore, I designed various landing pages and their complete web presence to establish a cohesive and impactful online representation.
Starting with the mark
The logo mark ideation process for this agricultural science startup involved multiple rounds of creative exploration and refinement. We began by brainstorming diverse concepts that captured the essence of the brand, considering elements like science, innovation, and technology. We sketched and developed various iterations, experimenting with shapes, symbols, and typography. Through continuous feedback and collaboration, we narrowed down the options, fine-tuning colors, proportions, and visual elements. Our goal was to create a logo that resonated with the brand values and communicated the mission in a compelling and memorable way.
Crafting the brand guidelines
Following an extensive process of concepting and ideation, we finalized a logo mark and logotype that best represented the brand's essence. With this foundation in place, I delved into crafting a comprehensive brand identity. This involved meticulous choices in typefaces, a cohesive color palette, and a distinct photography style. Developing detailed guidelines for the mark's usage ensured consistent representation across various platforms – both print and digital. Integrating textural elements and design features further enriched our brand language, providing a unified visual identity adaptable to diverse contexts, from website to conference materials.
Designing their web presence
In the last phase of the project, we harnessed the power of the newly crafted logo mark and comprehensive brand guidelines to shape and construct the startup's online presence. Utilizing these visual assets, we meticulously designed and developed the website, ensuring it resonated with the brand's core identity and conveyed its mission and offerings effectively. The web presence became the digital embodiment of the startup's values and aspirations, providing a seamless experience for visitors and stakeholders alike.
